Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Read, write, and understand English
• Basic math skills
• Computer skills (light data entry)
• Valid Driver's License
• Capable to learn how to operate and maintain railcar/trans loading equipment (e.g., Hoses, portable conveyors, transfer pumps, portable stair systems, small to large sized equipment, etc.)
• Ability and willingness to travel to other transload terminals to assist when necessary; maybe for up to a week at a time
• Physically able to climb up and down railcars/ladders safely
• Willing to receive general safety training
• Ability to work outside in ALL weather conditions (snow, rain, sub-freezing temps)
• Willing to work with liquid hazardous and dry bulk materials
• Can carry at least fifty (50) pounds
• In good physical condition (able to walk one (1) to three (3) miles per shift)

Responsibilities

• Daily loading and unloading of rail cars.
• Ability to understand and follow operating procedures and policies
• Ability to operate or learn to operate railcar loading systems and equipment
• Ability to perform work safely and productively
• Ability and interest in being cross trained on all functions at facility
• Strong work ethic
• Keeps work area clean
• Is not afraid to ask questions
• Attention to detail
• Accurately fill out all necessary paperwork
• Enforces safety policies and procedures with other employees and visitors
• Ability to perform general maintenance on equipment
• Assist with other duties within the facility (general maintenance, landscape upkeep and painting)
• Interact with customers, railroad crews, other Team Members and visitors
• Understands customer needs
