Laborer Skilled (Direct Craft Support)
About The Position
1. Communicates with others to perform the job tasks. 2. Safely operates motor vehicle with valid driver's license. 3. Runs errands to support of the work site. 4. Must be able to safely traverse uneven terrain with / without tools and building materials. 5. Performs a variety of tasks involving safe dexterous use of hand tools. 6. Manipulates and generally understands the safe use of different types of power and manual construction tools. 7. Digs, spreads, and levels dirt and gravel, to fine grade specifications using hand tools. 8. Safely operates power tools and equipment. 9. Breaks up and remove concrete with power equipment (jackhammer) and hand tools. 10. Positions and operates portable and submersible water pumps. 11. Cleans and sorts tools, equipment and materials. 12. Cleans work areas, parking lots, and offices. 13. Climbs vertical ladders in up to 25 - 30 foot sections, above/below ground elevation. 14. Stocks drinking water containers for the construction site personnel. 15. Cleans and maintains the worksite and related areas such as parking lot and office. 16. Has experience in safe use of equipment with little supervision. 17. Adheres to all safety procedures. 18. Typically has some industrial construction experience.
