Laborers are required to work outside in all kinds of weather or in buildings without heating or air conditioning. Comprehensive understanding of the importance of jobsite safety is a must. Relocation for duration of project may be required. Operate heavy equipment. Cleaning and preparing the jobsite and warehouse. Loading and delivering materials to jobsite and warehouse. Use of a variety of tools and equipment. Set up and take down ladders, scaffolding, and other temporary structures. Traffic control, if necessary. Set up of markers, cones, barricades, and flag vehicles to control traffic. Maintain a clean and organized job site. Job site should be cleaned of waste debris on a daily basis. Represent the company to the owner, architect, subcontractors, vendors and government authorities. Follow direction of onsite Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent and Labor Foreman. Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. General construction laborers must have physical strength, hand-eye coordination, endurance and flexibility to interact with diverse craft workers. Laborers must also be able to concentrate on their tasks. The ability to understand and communicate information is also essential. Valid driver’s license and auto insurance is required.

  • Must at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Ability to read and interpret all construction related documents.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Sitting for extended periods - Rarely

  • Bending, Stooping, Reaching and Stretching - Regularly

Nice To Haves

  • Two to Five plus years experience; no related degree preferred; equivalent combination of education or experience will be considered; OSHA 10/ OSHA 30 a plus.
  • Knowledgeable in construction means and methods.
