Loads, unloads, moves, and places in field and in storeroom, using manually operated lift truck and other light material handling equipment as required: pipe, fittings, tools, materials, supplies and equipment, refuse, excavated material. Assists in shoring, bracing and bridging excavations. Removes water from trenches, excavations, manholes and 'her work areas by hand pumps and bailing. Drills holes in concrete, masonry, brick, asphalt, with pneumatic or hand cools; patching same. Mixes and places pavement bases and surface materials. Cleans and scrapes surfaces and applies protective coatings, such as: paint, tar, tape, priming material to Mains & Services Department supplies, material, and equipment. Cleans manholes, vaults, pits, drains, trenches, roofs, eaves, Shovels snow, cleans walks, curs and trims lawns and grass.
