About The Position

Serve as the Laboratory Ventilation Manager (LVM) for DAWSONs Facilities Operations, Maintenance, and Support Services contract supporting the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) at Research Triangle Park (RTP), North Carolina. The Laboratory Ventilation Manager administers EPA RTPs Laboratory Ventilation Management Program and is responsible for coordination, operation, monitoring, and documentation of laboratory ventilation systems in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and contract requirements.

Requirements

  • Mechanical Engineering degree.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of operating experience with laboratory (or related application) HVAC, electrical, and control systems.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting laboratory ventilation systems in complex facilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interface with Government personnel.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain access to EPA facilities.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and manage the EPA RTP Laboratory Ventilation Management Program.
  • Coordinate site services related to laboratory ventilation systems.
  • Schedule activities and ensure effective communication among stakeholders.
  • Monitor performance of laboratory HVAC, electrical, and control systems.
  • Manage ventilation-related data and maintain required documentation and records.
  • Support operation and optimization of laboratory ventilation systems in research environments.
  • Coordinate activities with the Project Manager, facilities staff, Quality Control personnel, and Government representatives.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, applicable codes, and EPA standards.
  • Support inspections, assessments, and corrective actions related to laboratory ventilation systems.
