About The Position

PPG's Aerospace Business is looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our quality team in Valencia, CA. As an Aerospace Laboratory Technician, you will be involved in the execution of inspections related to product quality. You will work onsite at our Valencia, CA location and report to the Quality Control Manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of laboratory/inspection experience or similar experience required.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize duties, and carry through with all steps needed to complete each function.
  • Ability to clearly identify and communicate issues that need to be addressed and to take the necessary steps to avoid future errors.
  • Digital literacy in ERP System (QAD preferred) and Microsoft office.
  • Only U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, and political asylees or refugees are eligible to apply.

Nice To Haves

  • STEM Program experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Follow established procedures and guidelines to check, test, and inspect raw materials, goods in process, and finished goods.
  • Be involved in physical inspection and/or testing of raw materials as well as in process and finished goods.
  • Tests conducted may include visual, dimensional, etc.
  • Performing internal auditing.
  • Calibration of Equipment, housekeeping and disposing of material and product.
  • Following specifications, SOPs and industry standards for inspection of parts.
  • Crafting a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Upholding safety standards for the team, and this includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and following safety guidelines.
  • Time management and recognition of work efficiency.
