Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or Biology.
  • 2 years of professional experience desired, but not required.
  • Experience in microscope is a must.
  • Must have good organizational skills and understanding of various instruments, equipment, calibration, and adaptability to adapt with workloads.
  • Ability to use computer systems including Access, Excel, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently and with other team members.
  • Ability to work with clients and associates.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of principals, practices, and techniques of asbestos analysis is a plus.
  • McCrone and NIOSH 582 is a bonus, but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Sample preparations and analysis.
  • Documentation into Laboratory Information Management System.
  • Intermediate to complex review, analysis, interpretations.
  • Overseeing, completing, and processing various report types.
  • Following all procedures set forth by laboratory.
  • Comfortable and friendly when speaking with customers.
  • Clean, maintain, and calibrate assortment of tools required in analysis.
