Analytical analysis and testing: Independently write, conduct, review, and report scientific inquiries Troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation Assist with test method development and validation efforts Ensure adherence to highest quality and efficiency standards in laboratory operations Performing pH and OV testing Foster morale and teamwork Attend meetings with client along with group leader or when group leader is absent Keep group leader informed on critical issues in the lab. Communicate with other labs, client, and management when group leader is out of office Be the “go to person” in the lab when Group leader is out of office Complete QC charting Monitor Backlog Support group leader in organizing testing, scheduling and planning and ensuring testing is completed within TAT Be available to group to support group leader with special and high volume projects

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)
• Ability to work flexible hours, as needed, with occasional off-shift/weekend work
• Strong leadership, initiative, and team building skills
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company and client policies
• Ability to delegate workflow, as required
• Ability to work overtime/weekends
• Ability to work in a hot, dusty environment, lift over 50 lbs, and be standing for more than 50% of the shift
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Analytical analysis and testing: Independently write, conduct, review, and report scientific inquiries
• Troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation
• Assist with test method development and validation efforts

• Performing pH and OV testing
