Recharge with 15 days of paid time off Competitive Salary and Bonuses 401k Plan Summary You will assist engineers and scientists with a variety of laboratory tasks, including performing chemical and physical analyses using routine and specialized techniques. You will be installing, operating, maintaining, and repairing laboratory equipment and systems to support research, development, and quality testing activities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or Associate’s degree in a science or technical field.
  • Interest in laboratory work, materials testing, or manufacturing.
  • Basic mechanical or technical aptitude is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain material testing instrumentation used for paper and related materials.
  • Conduct standardized physical and mechanical tests to evaluate paper properties.
  • Ensure testing procedures are followed accurately and consistently.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed.
  • Develop and maintain Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) for laboratory procedures and equipment.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe laboratory workspaces.
  • Prepare raw materials and maintain equipment used in paper making
  • Review and update laboratory testing methods to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Support the development and improvement of testing methods and procedures.
  • Prepare reports summarizing laboratory findings and experimental results.
