About The Position

We are searching for a Laboratory Technician to provide support services to satisfy the overall operational objectives of the National Institute on Aging. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity in Baltimore, MD. Receive and log samples. Maintain specimen integrity and verify accuracy of all information. Familiarity in working with proteins. Assign a unique lab sequence number to each specimen according to protocols; assess each specimen for condition liquid or frozen, quantity adequate or not adequate, and appearance normal, hemolyzed, icteric, lipemic. Comply with laboratory SOPs, regulatory and safety guidelines and environmental policies and procedures; adhere to SOP and CAP regulations for data input in laboratory information systems, storage and retrieval for information.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree
A minimum of ONE (1) year of experience in research or laboratory setting.
Experience working in Biorepository and familiar with biorepository practices.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD "public trust"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their public trust prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an active public trust or suitability are preferred

Nice To Haves

Previous experience with NIH preferred.
