Position Summary: The Laboratory Technician will report to the Lab Supervisor and will contribute to the completion of R&D projects with a focus on product development, manufacturing, testing, and quality. This is an entry-level, full-time position with opportunities for advancement.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in batch making, blending, mixing, or compounding.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a chemical, food, dietary supplement, or cosmetic laboratory setting.
  • Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) or GLP (Good Laboratory Practices) environments is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with standard laboratory instruments and equipment.
  • General knowledge of wet chemistry methods including weights, volumes and measures, viscosity, density, pH, and titrations.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • A degree in Chemistry or a related science is highly preferred.
  • High School diploma, GED, or technical school training with relevant work experience may also be acceptable.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with effective time management capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Proficient in writing routine reports, logging data, and generating documents using a computer.
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, reach with hands or arms, and lift or carry up to 50 pounds as may be required.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Support project-driven activities within the R&D laboratory in line with specifications, standard operating procedures (SOPs), approved test methods, and safety policies.
  • Prepare, weigh, and mix ingredients for product samples and experimental laboratory batches following provided guidelines.
  • Operate scales, mixing equipment, stirrers and homogenizers in accordance with written instructions.
  • Calibrate laboratory equipment in accordance with quality procedures.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all laboratory activities in a laboratory notebook.
  • Undertake general laboratory operations such as chemical inventory management, supply of consumables, disposal of expired products or samples, and maintaining overall organization.
  • Ensure a safe and clean work environment, keeping work areas and laboratory equipment tidy and organized.
