About The Position

The Laboratory Support Technician plays a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations across multiple GMP laboratory spaces. This position supports scientific teams by maintaining equipment, managing supplies, organizing workspaces, and performing routine operational tasks that keep the labs functioning efficiently.

Requirements

  • Associate degree (AS) in Life Sciences or equivalent experience.
  • Strong computer, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements including lifting 25+ lbs, standing/walking for extended periods, and pushing/pulling equipment.
  • Ability to independently commute between nearby sites.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in team settings with a positive, adaptable attitude.
  • Ability to learn new processes, multitask, maintain accurate records, and follow SOPs and company policies.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction or sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of cGMP environments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain laboratory supply inventory and reagent stocks, including preparation of basic media and solutions.
  • Safely handle and transport compressed gases and cryogenic liquids.
  • Clean, monitor, and maintain controlled‑temperature units, fume hoods, and biological safety cabinets (BSCs).
  • Use electronic systems to track and document equipment maintenance, service, and calibration activities.
  • Initiate and coordinate workflow requests in electronic management systems to support multiple teams.
  • Manage laboratory notebooks and logbooks, including issuance, updates, and reconciliation activities.
  • Assist with scheduling and completing recurring equipment maintenance and calibration.
  • Perform routine cleaning, organization, and labeling of laboratory spaces according to established procedures.
  • Participate in weekend and overtime coverage as needed to support ongoing lab operations.
  • Execute responsibilities in areas handling potent chemical compounds.
  • Provide operational support across multiple laboratory sites (within ~5 miles).
