Location: Scottsdale Arizona, Arizona Dermatopathology Days: Monday - Friday Hours: 6am-2:30pm Full-time: Benefit Eligible Reporting to the Laboratory Manager; The Laboratory Supervisor assists with day-to-day supervision of assigned lab personnel, assists with implementing lab safety and quality programs, will train lab staff on use of equipment and on procedures, and will perform a full range of routine and specialized procedures in the pathology laboratory. The Lab Supervisor serves as a technical resource for troubleshooting and uses independent judgment and resources to resolve problems. Performs tasks normally associated with supervision such as hiring, training, coaching, scheduling, directing and appraising the work of assigned staff. Maintain proficiency and training requirements. Ensure compliance with all local, federal and CLIA regulations. Assist in staff development and training. Assists the Lab Manager in the maintenance/upkeep of CLIA documentation and records (including supervising/verifying completion of daily records and tracking documents), and preparation for CAP and CLIA inspections. All you need is: Possesses an Associate degree in Histology, Biology, Chemistry or other related field, a Bachelor degree is preferred; degree must satisfy the CLIA standards for Grossing Surgical Specimens (24 course hours of Biology and Chemistry combined) 5 or more years experience in the histology field Hold and maintain the HT or HTL (ASCP) certification. May accept additional education and/or experience in lieu of certification when certification is not a jurisdictional requirement for the job. Requirements
