About The Position

This mission-centered role is responsible for processing Autologous Serum Eye Drops for patients while ensuring accurate and complete data. The position directly supports Saving Sight's mission by providing life-changing products to patients nationwide.

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a setting with frequent interruptions or distractions.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills, problem solving abilities, and attention to detail.
  • Communicate effectively, b oth verbally and in writing, to report issues or concerns in a timely manner.
  • Working knowledge of M icrosoft Office applications, general database systems, and web-based applications
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities can be acquired .
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Hepatitis B vaccination, or documented declination is prior to performing duties.
  • Maintain prolonged periods of concentration and attention to detail in a busy lab environment.
  • Capability to extend arms and maintain extended position while handling materials and keeping proper posture.
  • Sit or stand for extended periods while performing detailed and repetitive tasks.
  • Perform continuous fine hand manipulation requiring precision, coordination , and a high degree of manual dexterity.
  • Use of foot pedals as to operate equipment.
  • Regular use of a computer for communication, documentation, and data entry.
  • Lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Work performed in a fast-paced laboratory environment .
  • Position includes occasional interruptions and shifting priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of aseptic technique .
  • Prior experience working in laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

  • Handle and process blood products in accordance with est ablished safety and quality standards.
  • Prepare blood components within a laminar flow hood using aseptic techniques.
  • Package and prepare finished products for distribution and shipment.
  • Perform routine cleaning, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), HIPAA, and all federal and state regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all processes and activities.
