With team accountability at the forefront of your work ethnic and knowing the sacred trust placed upon us by those we are serving, the phlebotomist/processor is the laboratory’s front-line personnel when it comes to the collection of blood samples for laboratory testing. The phlebotomist/processor also performs clinical laboratory pre-analytical laboratory services. This includes knowledge and competency in the following operating systems: Test requests (i.e., requirements for filling out test request forms, authorization to accept verbal orders, etc.), Specimen collection, Specimen Transport, and Specimen Receipt/Processing. Performs ordering, distribution and stocking of laboratory supplies and provides communication link from hospital personnel and technologists, section supervisors, asst. laboratory director and laboratory director.
