About the role: Laboratory Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating and overseeing all laboratory activities. About you: Day to day production management for the laboratory. Day to day management of staff. Optimize production efficiency. Ensure that long term HR strategies are adhered to and that compliance is maintained. Ensure the laboratory is suitably equipped, staffed and using approved methodologies to provide a quality service to clients. Delegate NATA signatories to check and approve final reports prior to dispatch, advising staff to take corrective action where necessary. Ensure staff members are appropriately trained. Continually assess the laboratory to increase productivity and efficiency. Authorize of the purchase of consumables. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • 5+ years of laboratory experience is preferred.
  • 3 - 5 years of supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Possible travel to additional labs in other areas.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work under pressure and strict deadlines.
  • Analytical thinking skills.
  • Promotes a productive work environment.
  • Ability to adapt
