About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to fill a laboratory management position. This role requires demonstrated supervisory capabilities, combining expertise in people management, planning, coaching, mentoring, and budgeting. The successful candidate will be accountable for leading a team, providing direction and support to team members, and collaborating closely with Technical Management, Business, Sales, and Marketing to achieve both short- and long-term business goals.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related
2-3 years of supervisor or managerial experience in the chemical industry.

Responsibilities

Directly supervise QC and technical service laboratory employees.
Ensure Quality Control (QC) and technical service efforts meet internal and external requirements, including customer expectations and legal compliance.
Manage rotating shifts to maintain production support.
Guide Sales and Marketing in technology and applications.
Supervise lab employees, maintain work schedules, approve timecards, and provide necessary training.
Counsel employees and document performance with semi-annual reviews.
Ensure all lab practices adhere to Safety and Quality Policies and Procedures.
Troubleshoot analytical methods to ensure accuracy and reduce variability.
Develop and analyze repeatability data and KPI's for manufacturing scorecards.
Establish and maintain quality assurance standards, procedures, and controls.
Work with supply to schedule and control inspection activities for raw materials and products.
Prepare annual budget for direct costs, manpower, and expenditures, ensuring lab operations within budget.
Undertake root cause analysis to address quality issues and provide corrective actions.
