About The Position

Working closely with scientists to discuss and understand their work for business analysis purposes; help them to design data collection, analysis, and visualization approaches especially with understanding of potential artifacts and consumption of data by other groups. Sample handling including small and large molecule compounds and mAbs/proteins (preparation, dilution, transfer, plating), biospecimens (preparation, dilution, transfer, plating of plasma, serum, urine, etc.), and nucleic acids (DNA/RNA extraction, aliquoting, and storage) Basic programming and use of automation equipment (Hamilton Liquid Handling Systems, Agilent Bravo, Scinomix Tube Labeler, Hamilton TekCel, Agilent BioCel, etc.) Working knowledge of MS Excel, Visual Studio, R, Python, JSON, and/or SQL/relational databases for data management and analysis Thinking independently and innovating within one’s own project while efficiently collaborating with other team members Working with partner lines to define and develop solutions for data ingestion, prepping, blending and visualization across various data sources.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly
  • Work in a BSL-2 environment
  • Bachelor's degree in biology, cell biology, biochemistry, chemistry, computer-science or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly-related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)
  • Experience with sample handling including small and large molecule compounds and mAbs/proteins (preparation, dilution, transfer, plating), biospecimens (preparation, dilution, transfer, plating of plasma, serum, urine, etc.), and nucleic acids (DNA/RNA extraction, aliquoting, and storage)
  • Computer skills preferred: R and/or Python, JSON, Spotfire and/or Tableau, Oracle, Visual Studio, and JavaScript
  • Experience with basic programming/use of laboratory automation, especially liquid handlers
  • Experience working in a GLP environment
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
