Position Summary: As a Laboratory Associate at Discovery Life Sciences, you will play a pivotal role in our mission by contributing to the immunohistochemical staining of tissue samples and providing essential support to our Project Managers throughout various projects. This position requires a high level of scientific proficiency, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A Day in the Life of a Laboratory Associate at Discovery Life Sciences: Stain tissue samples. Document lab work. Assist with multiple projects at once.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or higher in Life Sciences or related field.
  • Familiarity with general laboratory equipment.
  • Strong multitasking skills and the ability to maintain organized records.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a creative mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in immunohistochemistry (IHC) is preferred but not required.
  • Background or coursework in Pathology/Histology is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform immunohistochemical staining of tissue samples.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers to ensure project objectives are met efficiently.
  • Utilize and maintain general laboratory equipment, including microscopes, centrifuges, pipettes, and more.
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment that values open and honest communication.
  • Embrace a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and a strong work ethic.
