Laboratory Assistant
About The Position

This role involves joining the clinic lab team to provide exceptional patient care and gain valuable medical skills, playing a critical part in patients' diagnoses and their journey to recovery. Responsibilities include phlebotomy, collecting, preparing, and processing biological specimens. The assistant will also perform laboratory activities, prepare laboratory specimens and supplies, and may be responsible for entering laboratory orders and results, ensuring the accuracy and quality of laboratory data in a safe and professional work environment.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED)
- Completion of a formal phlebotomy program
- Phlebotomy experience
- Experience in a laboratory-related field
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Responsibilities
- Receiving, sending out, and processing of specimen samples
- Performing minimal phlebotomy
- Collecting, preparing and processing biological specimens
- Assisting in performing laboratory activities and other assigned tasks
- Aiding in preparing laboratory specimens and supplies
- Entering laboratory orders and results
- Ensuring the accuracy and quality of laboratory data in a safe and professional work environment
