Job Description Under the direction of the Supervisor, the lab assistant is responsible for support functions, preanalytical processing, preparing specimens to send to appropriate reference laboratories, and accessioning/registration functions. Performance of waived and moderate complexity testing, inventory control and management, specimen storage and retrieval. Performs maintenance required by laboratory.

Requirements

High School Graduate or equivalent
One(1) Year as a Medical or Lab Assistant or demonstrated experience in laboratory
Ability to comply with OSHA and applicable regulatory requirements by following established procedures in order to maintain a safe laboratory environment and to meet accreditation standards.
Ability to be flexible as required to adapt to laboratory needs as related to testing and scheduling.
Ability to operate a pneumatic tube system
