Responsibilities

  • Obtain blood and other specimens from patients and process them correctly
  • Correctly process specimens received through the tube system or brought from outside sources.
  • Assist in clerical duties.
  • Disinfect all counters each shift.
  • Clean morgue when needed, and maintain supplies.
  • Perform courier duties when needed.
  • Must be able to engage both fellow employees and customers with compassion and respect.

  • Review and sign all educational material that is made available.
  • Keep phlebotomy trays clean and maintained with supplies so they are always ready for use.
  • Keep break room, clean and organized.
