The Laboratory Assistant performs all processing procedures, computer functions and other job duties specific to the department for which he/she has been hired. Additional training within a department may allow the Laboratory Assistant to perform certain specified procedures under the supervision of a Licensed Technologist EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT(S): High school graduate or equivalent Independent, mature, self-motivated, reliable, and responsible Able to serve the needs of patients ages neonatal to geriatric. Able to deal with all types of customers in a pleasant, professional manner Able to handle numerous tasks simultaneously Must have excellent organizational skills. Able to perform assigned duties in a timely manner with minimal supervision. Telephone, computer, xerox machine, fax machine, equipment related to specific procedure responsibility.
