About The Position

Up to $10,000 SOB for qualified candidates, paid over 24 months Full Time, Nights POSITION SUMMARY Performs blood specimen collection, specimen receipt, and distribution of laboratory specimens; will perform CLIA waived laboratory tests, as requested. Will process anatomic pathology and cytology specimens, as requested. Assists pathologists and histotechs as needed. Will supervise or lead lab assistant I and II positions, as requested. Completes prioritization, receipt, registration, and distribution of specimens. Has responsibility for send out/reference lab shipping, tracking, and billing. Will perform waived testing, as requested. Will assist with processing of anatomic pathology specimens including preparation of microscopic tissue slides, staining and specimen management, as requested.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5 years of laboratory experience
• Phlebotomy certification where State law requires

Nice To Haves

• Associates degree in laboratory or medical related field from an accredited institution.
• In addition to above, basic laboratory computer/lab information system experience preferred.
• Completion of formal phlebotomy training program and/or national phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ANP, ASPT or similar
