This position is responsible for performing phlebotomies and receiving/processing specimens to ensure high quality in the preanalytical phase of laboratory testing. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Some positions, as identified by the Laboratory Manager, will be required to drive to various sites to perform phlebotomy. If required, must have a valid driver’s license and meet all criteria required under Lakeview’s Automobile Liability Guidelines.
  • Knowledge and skills sufficient to provide technical instructions and communicate and advise other departments on clinical laboratory procedures

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of health care program (e.g. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Paramedic, Phlebotomy).
  • Phlebotomy Certification
  • Medical Terminology knowledge
  • Previous phlebotomy experience
  • Typing or keyboarding skills
