About The Position
This position is responsible for performing phlebotomies and receiving/processing specimens to ensure high quality in the preanalytical phase of laboratory testing. Work Schedule: .5 FTE; Monday - Friday, 5am - 9am; Every 4th weekend
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Some positions, as identified by the Laboratory Manager, will be required to drive to various sites to perform phlebotomy. If required, must have a valid driver’s license and meet all criteria required under Lakeview’s Automobile Liability Guidelines.
- Knowledge and skills sufficient to provide technical instructions and communicate and advise other departments on clinical laboratory procedures
Nice To Haves
- Completion of health care program (e.g. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Paramedic, Phlebotomy).
- Phlebotomy Certification
- Medical Terminology knowledge
- Previous phlebotomy experience
- Typing or keyboarding skills
