About The Position

About this opportunity: Cenovus is now seeking multiple dedicated individuals to join the Superior Refinery as a part of their newest class of Labor Pool employees. These roles perform a wide variety of operations, maintenance and general labor tasks in an industrial petroleum plant. This position works in a way that is consistent with standard operating procedures, specifications, and regulatory standards, with attention to safe, timely and cost-effective operations. This position's work is performed both inside and outside, in a variety of weather conditions and is considered physically demanding.

Requirements

Legally authorized to work in the US
High School Diploma or GED required.
Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license and a satisfactory driving record
Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions as outside work is required
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Possesses good dexterity and close attention to detail.
Mathematical computation skills.
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Commitment to working safely

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree, Associate degree, or other relevant completed technical coursework highly valued
Experience in refining, petroleum, transportation or closely related field.
Basic understanding of fluid flow, hydraulics, and fuel oils

Responsibilities

Load a variety of products into railcars and tanker trucks
Maintain required records for loading, inventory, distribution, and equipment
Train and work for Process Unit Operations when needed
Perform assignments in Maintenance when available
Aide technicians and mechanics performing mechanical, electrical and instrumentation maintenance as trained and within scope of position
Responsible for a high standard of housekeeping, organization, completion of duties and work product
Contribute and align to Cenovus safety culture and standards
