About The Position

The Labor Manager is responsible for overseeing labor operations related to weeding and thinning crews, ensuring cost efficiency, productivity, and high-quality service delivery. This role also manages scheduling programs, maintains strong customer relationships, and supports contract renewals while delivering excellent customer service to growers.

Requirements

  • Experience in agricultural operations, labor management, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of labor cost control and workforce planning
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with scheduling or workforce management systems
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Leadership and team supervision experience
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of weeding and thinning practices in crop production
  • 4 Year Degree

Responsibilities

  • Manage and control labor costs for weeding and thinning crews, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to budget targets
  • Oversee daily and seasonal scheduling through the date program to align labor availability with customer needs
  • Supervise crew performance, productivity, and quality standards in the field
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for growers, maintaining strong, professional relationships
  • Coordinate and manage contract renewals, ensuring continuity of service and customer satisfaction
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and service issues promptly and effectively
  • Collaborate with operations and field teams to optimize workflows and improve service delivery
  • Track labor metrics and provide reports on performance, costs, and operational efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and labor laws
