About The Position

Seyfarth Shaw LLP, an international law firm with approximately 1000 attorneys, has an exciting opportunity for a highly qualified Labor and Employment Associate with 3-6 years of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA), Environmental, and Whistleblower experience for a position in its Seattle office. Candidates should have increasingly responsible experience in OSHA compliance, enforcement and related litigation. Litigation experience, including depositions, discovery and motion practice is highly preferred. In addition, experience in environmental compliance, enforcement and environmental litigation is not required, but will be favorably considered. Seyfarth has one of the preeminent OSHA practices in the country which is national in scope and covers the full range of OSHA compliance and enforcement issues. The attorneys in the group have extensive trial and appellate experience litigating against both Federal and State OSHA. Seyfarth’s workplace whistleblower defense group has extensive experience in representing and defending clients in OSHA lead investigations and subsequent litigation.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA), Environmental, and Whistleblower experience
  • Litigation experience, including depositions, discovery and motion practice is highly preferred.
  • Excellent academic credentials and a solid work ethic along with stellar analytical, verbal and written communication skills
  • Admission to the Washington Bar or the ability to waive in (required)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in environmental compliance, enforcement and environmental litigation is not required, but will be favorably considered.
