DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The Family Birth Unit is on the second floor of the patient tower and includes: One triage room 5 spacious Labor and Delivery suites Two with labor tubs One OR Newborn Nursery
Requirements
- Current unencumbered RN license to practice in the State of Oregon
- Healthcare Provider Level BLS
- ACLS and NRP required within six months of hire
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Labor, Delivery, Postpartum nursing
Responsibilities
- The Registered Nurse (RN) provides safe, high quality, direct and indirect patient care utilizing the nursing process to care for mothers and their newborns.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with diverse population and possess personal sensitivity to the needs and experiences of others with a non-judgmental attitude.
- Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks and appropriately adapt to diverse and high-risk situations to offer the best possible care to patients.
- Ability to manage time in an organized fashion, planning and prioritizing work under pressure.
