About The Position

Dr. Tavel Optical Group is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Lab Technician - Mounting to join our fast-paced optical lab. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that lenses are correctly mounted into frames, inspecting lenses for defects, and following company guidelines to produce high-quality eyewear for our customers. This is a hands-on position requiring precision, focus, and a commitment to quality. No optical experience is required— we will provide comprehensive training! Expected Work Schedule: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm

Requirements

• Capable of standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
• Ability to handle small parts and equipment with care and precision
• 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is a plus, but not required

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with mounting lenses is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

• Inspect lenses for defects and imperfections
• Clean and prepare lenses for mounting
• Insert lenses into frames with precision and care
• Ensure segments are straight and properly aligned
• Adjust frames to meet company standards
• Report any defects or issues to supervisors
• Work with small parts while maintaining focus on quality
• Follow all guidelines and standards for mounting lenses
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area
