About The Position

Saint Luke's Health System is seeking a Float Lab Support Tech to join our team! Collects patient samples using best practices for phlebotomy. Documents receipt of patient samples in Lab Information System (LIS) and prepares them for analysis. Full-time nights. Three 12-hour shifts per week, 6 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Weekends, holidays and hard-to-staff commitments required. Serves in a float capacity across a variety of campuses to provide staffing coverage. Exciting way to work at all Saint Luke's Metro hospitals Collects patient specimens in accordance with laboratory's policy, procedures and regulatory standards. Correlates patient samples to provider laboratory test orders in the LIS/EMR. Performs and reports Point of Care laboratory testing as required. Uses education and experience to identify and resolve patient circumstances that might interfere with accurate sample collection. Requirements

  • Applicable Experience: Less than 1 year
  • Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross

Responsibilities
