About The Position

We are seeking a phlebotomist / lab support tech nician that is confident in their skills, patient focused, positive, and willing to go above and beyond for their patients and peers. Phlebotomy experience is preferred, but not . We are looking for professionals who like to multi-task and stay busy, and able to adapt to rapidly changing laboratory workflow . PRN position that will have opportunity to work days 5am to 5:30pm, nights from 5:30pm to 6am, and partial shifts to cover morning draws. The job is 50% phlebotomy and 50% specimen processing. The position is used to fill openings in the schedule for PTO, Sick leave, Call In's and unfilled positions. Collects patient specimens in accordance with laboratory's policy, procedures and regulatory standards. Correlates patient samples to provider laboratory test orders in the LIS/EMR. Performs and reports Point of Care laboratory testing as required. Uses education and experience to identify and resolve patient circumstances that might interfere with accurate sample collection. Communicates effectively with nursing and unit staff to relay information concerning patient collections. The best place to get care. The best place to give care .
