Lab support technician
About The Position

We are seeking a phlebotomist/lab support technician that is confident in their skills, patient focused, positive, and willing to go above and beyond for their patients and peers. Phlebotomy experience is preferred, but not required. We are looking for professionals who like to multi-task and stay busy, and able to adapt to rapidly changing laboratory workflow. Full-time night shift, 11 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. 4x10 hr shifts per week with a rotating weekend day (Sunday, 1x each 6 weeks), include a holiday over the year. Some experience preferred Collects patient specimens in accordance with laboratory's policy, procedures and regulatory standards. Correlates patient samples to provider laboratory test orders in the LIS/EMR. Performs and reports Point of Care laboratory testing as required. Uses education and experience to identify and resolve patient circumstances that might interfere with accurate sample collection. Communicates effectively with nursing and unit staff to relay information concerning patient collections. Why Saint Luke’s?
