About The Position

Job Description:We have an exciting opportunity for a Robotics/Automation Engineer with laboratory automation/robotics experience to join a growing team of scientists at a PSS Client site. The purpose of this role is to build, operate and maintain robotic platforms dedicated to high-throughput sample analysis in a fast-paced GXP environment.Job Duties Include:Deliver customer satisfaction by listening to and exceeding customer expectations.Work independently and as part of a team, with integrity, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.Deliver customer satisfaction by listening to and exceeding customer expectations.Participate in the computer system validation process for diverse laboratory equipment such as automated liquid handlers, plate readers, and Luminex and PCR systems.Develop a working knowledge of laboratory equipment, such as liquid handlers, plate washers/dispensers, and Luminex and PCR instruments.Utilize technical knowledge to ensure efficient operation of various automated processing and informational technology systems.Perform routine cleaning, calibrations and verifications of a range of analytical instruments and liquid handling platforms including daily startup and shutdown of instruments.Troubleshoot errors with quick resolution.Use and maintain electronic laboratory notebooks to document and report experimental findings, assay protocols, etc. Use laboratory applications to perform bioanalytical tasks to track samples and/or reagents and equipment related information, document experimentation and conduct analysis (e.g., LIMS, reagent inventory tools, data transfer, ELN, etc.).Accurately perform ligand-binding and PCR assays following well-defined guidelines as per their respective SOPs and work instructions in a GXP laboratory utilizing automated liquid handling and robotic equipment. Willingness to cross-train to support other functions (Sample Management and Processing, Ligand-Biding Assays, PCR Assays, Compliance, etc).Comply with all laboratory processes, procedures, SOPs and safety requirements.

Requirements

  • Associate of Science degree with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in robotics and/or automation ORBachelor of Science degree in Life Sciences, Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience.
  • Authorization to work in the country indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
  • Significant Safety or Working Considerations: May work with potentially infectious samples of human and/or animal origin.
  • May handle hazardous chemicals.

Nice To Haves

  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail to deliver quality and accurate results.
  • Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
  • Experience with laboratory liquid handler(s) (e.g. Beckman/Hamilton).
  • Experience with ligand-binding and/or PCR-based assays.
  • Experience in System Development Life Cycle and instrument validation.
  • Experience in a GLP or GMP laboratory, preferably in a bioanalytical setting.
