About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic Lab Manager to join our dengue virus immunology research team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in laboratory operations while contributing to cutting-edge research on dengue virus immune responses. Key responsibilities include mentoring undergraduate and graduate students in laboratory techniques and research methodologies, managing procurement and inventory of laboratory supplies and reagents, and providing essential support to the Principal Investigator with regulatory compliance including Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC), Institutional Review Board (IRB), and Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) protocols. Additionally, the Lab Manager will have the opportunity to pursue their own independent research project within the dengue immunology framework, contributing to our understanding of host-pathogen interactions, vaccine development, or antiviral immunity. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, experience with biosafety protocols, excellent communication abilities for student mentorship, and a background in virology, immunology, or related fields, with the enthusiasm to balance administrative excellence with scientific discovery.

Requirements

  • PhD in immunology and/or virology or related field
  • Experience ordering and managing supplies for an active laboratory
  • Key technical skills include experience with flow cytometry, cell culture, and microscopy

Responsibilities

  • Mentoring undergraduate and graduate students in laboratory techniques and research methodologies
  • Managing procurement and inventory of laboratory supplies and reagents
