A fully supported Scientist IV position is available in the cross-disciplinary Coler Lab ( Coler Lab - Center for Global Infectious Disease Research ) to characterize immune response of novel vaccines and immune pathology associated with tuberculosis and co-morbidities, as well as how the microbiome and associated ecological and evolutionary factors affect our immune response. Previous experience in cellular immunology is required. Additionally, we seek candidates with experience in bioinformatics and/or computational approaches to analyzing vaccine induced immune responses and the microbiome. This Scientist will ask fundamental biological questions about host-pathogen interactions in the lung mucosa and will study of correlates of protection and risk.
