The Lab Infrastructure Transformation Program Manager plays a critical role in driving large-scale initiatives that modernize and optimize HPE’s global lab footprint. This position leads complex programs spanning engineering R&D, lab operations, and infrastructure modernization—ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities and Global Workplace strategies. You’ll partner across multiple business units to deliver solutions that improve lab infrastructure efficiency, resilience, enhance sustainability, and enable business continuity.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years managing complex global programs in R&D or technology environments.
  • Expertise: Proven success in business process re-engineering and large-scale IT implementations.
  • Leadership: Ability to inspire and lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Mastery of program management methodologies and operational excellence frameworks. Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities. Exceptional communication and influence skills across all levels. Comfort with ambiguity and skill in driving clarity. Knowledge of sustainability principles and modern infrastructure technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Strategic Programs: Build and run a Program Management Office to deliver global lab transformation initiatives. Establish best practices for lifecycle management and compliance in lab environments.
  • Drive Operational Excellence: Manage cross-functional programs across geographies, ensuring timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations are met.
  • Modernize Lab Operations: Introduce advanced technologies and continuous improvement practices to elevate HPE’s R&D environments.
  • Define Lab Strategies and Sustainability Objectives: Define global lab strategies for power, cooling, infrastructure architecture, site selection, and sustainability standards.
  • Resilience and Uptimes: Design labs for resilience and up time objectives of 99.9%
  • Deliver Financial and Lab Performance Insights: Analyze total cost of ownership for assets, projects, and services to guide smart investment decisions.
  • Foster Collaboration: Engage stakeholders with transparency and influence to build alignment and momentum. Lead quarterly business reviews and planning cycles to ensure flawless execution.
  • Results Oriented: Develop a multi-year global lab infrastructure strategy and forecast. Define regional topologies and site selection criteria aligned with efficiency, resilience, sustainability, and continuity goals. Standardize global lab operations and maintenance processes. Establish KPIs and dashboards to track and communicate program performance. Architect centralized software solutions leveraging automation and predictive analytics.
