Are you a seasoned leader in food chemistry with a passion for scientific excellence and operational leadership? Matrix Sciences is seeking a Chemistry Laboratory Director to lead our Food Chemistry Laboratory team. This is a high-impact role responsible for driving technical innovation, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction.

Requirements

10+ years in the Food Safety industry with a focus on chemistry analysis
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field
Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills
Proven experience in laboratory operations and regulatory compliance
Critical thinking, problem-solving, and project management expertise
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

Lead with purpose: oversee all operations of the Food Chemistry business unit, ensuring scientific integrity, regulatory compliance, and client satisfaction.
Drive Innovation: Champion method development, validation, and troubleshooting to meet ISO standards and client-specific needs.
Be the Client's Trusted Partner: Collaborate with Sales and Client Services to support client onboarding and issue resolution.
Inspire and Develop Talent: Mentor and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Optimize and Improve: Implement KPIs, streamline workflows, and lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
Represent Matrix Sciences: Engage with industry associations and conference to promote our brand and stay ahead of scientific trends.
