About The Position

Assist the Laboratory Investigator with all activities related to grants and sponsored projects. Actively participates in ensuring that all sponsored projects are carried out in compliance with guidelines. Oversees day-to-day operation of a large laboratory including ordering and inventory of orders. Job Description Maintains a lab database of technical and animal protocols, plasmids, antibodies and other key resources. Keeps accurate records of reagents. Troubleshoots experimental design malfunctions and implements solutions, interfaces directly with equipment manufacturers for adjustments and repairs Instructs research personnel on specialized techniques and complex protocols; coordinates and participates in intra-collegial presentations and meetings Maintains lab equipment including the development of SOP for the use and care of equipment, ensuring proper operation and maintenance. Processes all purchase orders, requests for payment, etc., acting as primary contact for vendors; track service request forms and enter into database; develop and process monthly billings of RTP activity; monitor TJU expenses; obtain bids for equipment and large supply orders as needed; develop; plan out large supply or equipment purchases; maintain records of transactions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Required.
  • Laboratory experience preferred.
