Since 1969, Three Rivers Optical has operated a fully integrated optical lab, providing consulting services to ophthalmologists, optometrists, and opticians through dedicated customer service, sales, and technology teams. Our leading technical expertise and manufacturing capabilities make us a leader in the industry, serving the independent optometric practice. The Lab Associate in the Surface Department plays a critical role in the manufacturing process. As lenses are moved through the production line, the Lab Associate will be responsible for each order to be processed correctly. The Lab Associate will also be responsible for conducting quality assurance checks through a manual washing process.

Requirements

Experience as an optician, or experience in an optometry practice or lab setting.
Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work Monday through Friday, typically 8am – 5pm.
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and bend, twist and crouch as needed.
Committed to collaboration and teamwork.
Interest in cross training in other departments and advancing career.

Nice To Haves

Experience in optometry or manufacturing ideal but not required.

Responsibilities

Washing and drying manufactured lenses followed by a brief cosmetic inspection of the lenses.
Perform quality assurance checks to ensure each order is correct.
Examine finished lenses for defects, ensuring they meet the required prescription and quality standards.
Perform other tasks at several different production stations as needed in order to maintain acceptable job flow.
