About The Position
The Laboratory Assistant Phlebotomist at MultiCare is responsible for obtaining blood samples, transporting samples for medical testing, and processing specimens according to protocol and procedures. This role involves working collaboratively with the team to provide comprehensive and compassionate care for patients.
Requirements
- Current Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist Certification (MA-P) or Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist eligible
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a hospital setting preferred
Responsibilities
- You will perform venipunctures professionally and with skill at various sites and explain to patient the procedure
- You will ensure draws are collected in a timely manner and check all workload pending lists periodically for specimen accountability
- You will accurately label patient samples following hospital policy
