Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field.
  • Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Hazard Analysis, and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and food safety guidelines.
  • Working knowledge of lab equipment, glassware and instrumentation with lab bench skills.
  • Ability to utilize standard GLP’s for operation.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with little to no direction.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to change.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a lab setting performing chemistry and/or microbiological testing is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform chemical, physical and microbiological tests of raw materials, in process samples, and final product material
  • Conduct regular environmental testing including but not limited microbial enumeration via membrane filtration, and kinetic endotoxin testing
  • Prepare reagents, media, samples and standards as required
  • Abide by procedures, as written, for each test performed
  • Accurately record all test data and perform required calculations
  • Operate lab equipment per internal procedures
  • Perform strain propagations, prepare pre-seed medias and associated medias, inoculation procedures, contamination checks, reagent and vitamin preparation and preparation of transfer vessels for production
  • Other duties as assigned
