About The Position

Apply your classroom-learned skills to a program supporting the defense of our country. GDMS has an immediate opening for an Engineering Intern to join our team. The position provides an opportunity to work on projects that support some of our nation’s fundamental defense services. GDMS employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams on various technical projects associated with our core mission. As a Lab Admin/Custodian, you will be required to possess a diverse skillset to effectively manage laboratory operations. Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and tools, along with a thorough understanding of laboratory safety protocols and procedures, is essential. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities are crucial for maintaining and organizing lab records and documentation, as well as proficiency in using office software such as the Microsoft Office Suite. Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary for collaborating with lab personnel and researchers. You should also possess problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues and identify operational inefficiencies within the lab. Physical capability to lift and move laboratory equipment and supplies, as well as stamina to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods, is important. What sets you apart is your attention to detail in ensuring lab cleanliness and orderliness, flexibility to adapt to changing lab requirements and schedules, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and the integrity of lab data. Requirements

  • Candidates should demonstrate a thorough understanding of business principles.
  • Administration Interns must be enrolled in an accredited degree program with a preference in a related field.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
