Role Summary Reporting to the Senior Manager of Commercial Learning & Development Programs, the L&D Partner will play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering learning experiences to drive product knowledge and skill changes for internal teams. You will work with our cross-functional stakeholders to identify scope of training need, define learning modality, define project plan, and ultimately develop training content based on the needs of the business. This role will shape the employee learning experience at Rivian and deliver our mission to Keep the World Adventurous Forever. This role will work collaboratively across the organization to deliver innovative and scalable experiences that transcend traditional eLearning, ILT, and virtual learning courses. This will require managing stakeholders at various levels, ruthless prioritization, and strong project management skills. This role will also design, develop, implement, and continuously improve learning programs as they scale with our rapidly growing organization. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in adult learning principles, theories, and concepts, as well as experience developing within learning technologies. They have practical experience and application of learning development models to deliver best-in-class experiences that will elevate our Onboarding, Employee Development, and Leadership Development programs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of instructional design, graphic and digital learning design experience supporting a corporate learning function
  • Experience using industry-standard learning methodologies (ADDIE, SAM, CRI, etc.) to design learning programs for various levels of employees and leaders
  • Proficient with eLearning authoring software (Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate, etc.)
  • Proficient with publishing tools and software applications (Google Suite, iWork, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
  • Proven track record of operating independently, demonstrating creativity, strong attention to detail, and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Works well in virtually connected, fast-paced, and oftentimes ambiguous environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience developing content for deployment in a learning management system

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Instructional Design or Education is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain learner-centric programs and content using effective instructional design methodologies and technologies
  • Full-cycle ownership of blended learning solutions, from intake and scoping through design, development, deployment, and iteration
  • Conduct learning needs analyses to understand performance gaps, learner personas, and business outcomes, and translate these into clear learning objectives and solution proposals
  • Partner closely with stakeholders across Commercial (e.g., Sales, Delivery, Service) to align learning solutions with business priorities, timelines, and change management needs
  • Define and execute clear measurement strategies, including success metrics, data collection methods, and reporting that connect learning programs to business outcomes
  • Design and deliver high-quality learning assets, including content outlines, presentation decks, eLearnings, graphics, facilitator guides, and job aids that align to Rivian brand standards
  • Design branded guides, logos, templates, executive style reports, and presentations to support Learning & Talent Development programs
  • Organize and assist in developing learning manuals, pre-work, and course evaluation procedures (inclusive of multimedia visual aids and other educational materials)
  • Partner and consult with internal stakeholders and liaise with subject matter experts to establish the most effective way to solve a learning need
  • Develop assessments and metrics to measure employee performance and program outcomes
  • Ability to create effective train-the-trainer programs and facilitator guides to grow and scale Learning & Development at Rivian
  • Employs a learner-centric mindset to drive the overall learner experience at Rivian
