About The Position

Hanna Interpreting Services LLC is a language service provider connecting bilingual and multilingual individuals with freelance interpreter or translator opportunities. The company's mission is to bridge communication gaps through excellent and compassionate language services, ensuring language access for everyone. This role is for a 1099 Independent Contractor, allowing interpreters to manage their own schedule and accept appointments based on their availability. Appointments are typically available Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, but are not guaranteed and depend on need. Hanna is a woman- and minority-owned business, established in 2010, that has grown to serve over 1.1 million clients in more than 250 languages and supports local communities through outreach events. Requirements

Fluency in English and target language with a comprehensive understanding of idiomatic speech and cultural patterns
Previous interpreting experience
Demonstrated professionalism, punctuality, and adaptability in the workplace
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to operate basic communication
Flexibility to work in different settings and adapt to various work environments
Must be located in and authorized to work in the US
High School Diploma or equivalent; or certification in interpreting or related fields

Nice To Haves

Previous interpreting experience preferably in medical, legal, or educational settings
