About The Position

Varsity Spirit, A Varsity Achievement Brand, is looking for a motivated and mechanically minded individual to join our Press team as a Komori Press Operator. This position is responsible for operating, maintaining, and producing high-quality printed materials on the Komori Offset Press. Experience is preferred but not required — we are willing to train the right person who brings a positive attitude, attention to detail, and a strong desire to learn a challenging and rewarding trade.

Requirements

Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn complex equipment.
Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
Team-oriented mindset and positive attitude.
Basic computer literacy for operating press controls and job tracking.
HS Diploma or GED (required)
Previous success maintaining a strong attendance and on time record

Nice To Haves

Previous pressroom or manufacturing experience (Komori or similar press operation is a plus).
Preference will be given to candidates with previous related experience

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and monitor Komori Offset Press equipment to produce printed signatures that meet Varsity Yearbook’s quality standards.
Perform press checks and color adjustments as needed to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Monitor press performance and troubleshoot mechanical or quality issues as they arise.
Perform basic maintenance, cleaning, and mechanical adjustments to keep the press running efficiently.
Work collaboratively with other operators, helpers, and maintenance staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely job completion.
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Assist with plate mounting, ink changes, blanket washing, and general press upkeep as assigned.
