About The Position
SAIC is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Knowledge Manager to support enterprise-wide information sharing, collaboration, and decision-making across Department of Defense (DoD) mission areas. This role is critical to ensure that institutional knowledge is captured, structured, and made accessible to stakeholders at all levels. The ideal candidate will have experience implementing knowledge management strategies, tools, and processes within secure, mission-focused environments. This position requires strong communication skills, technical insight, and a deep understanding of DoD operations, data governance, and information lifecycle management.
Requirements
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance
- 5+ years of experience in Knowledge Management, Information Management, or related fields within a DoD or federal environment
- Associate or bachelor's degree; in lieu of degree, additional 4 years of Knowledge Management experience is acceptable
- Skilled in organizing and maintaining digital assets and documentation
- Proficiency in tools like
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain document repositories, portals, and collaborative platforms
- Structure/categorize data for intuitive access and retrieval across clearance levels
- Implement and enforce data governance policies and metadata standards
- Facilitate information sharing across directorates, ensuring alignment with DoD frameworks
- Support content document lifecycle management, including archiving and retrieval
- Conduct training and outreach to promote best practices across teams
- Collaborating with Information Technology (IT) and Security to ensure secure and efficient systems
