Requirements

  • 0 years with BS/BA; 4 years no degree
  • Clearance: TS/SCI (active)
  • Education / Certification: Candidate must meet ONE: Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Library Science, Information Systems, Knowledge Management, or related field; OR Security+ or Cloud+ certification.
  • Experience in KM, content management, portal administration, or related roles (adjust per program need).
  • Proficiency with CMS/portal platforms, SharePoint/Confluence experience preferred, metadata/taxonomy application, version control, basic analytics/reporting, strong written communication, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Familiarity with information governance, records management, and controlled/classified content handling.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior DoD/Army/ARNG KM or portal experience
  • Experience with taxonomy tools, search optimization, and user research/usability testing
  • Familiarity with SIPR/NIPR/SharePoint Online and access control for classified content

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, update, and publish content in KM repositories and information portals following established taxonomies, metadata, and governance.
  • Curate and organize knowledge assets (policies, SOPs, reports, lessons learned, templates) and enforce version control, archival, and disposition processes.
  • Assist in designing user-friendly portal structures, navigation, and search taxonomies to enhance usability for diverse stakeholders.
  • Validate content accuracy and alignment to approved sources; coordinate with SMEs to capture and convert institutional knowledge into consumable formats.
  • Monitor portal usage, content quality, and user feedback; produce basic metrics and recommend content improvements.
  • Implement standardized templates, publishing workflows, and access controls; support onboarding and user guidance materials.
  • Maintain content inventories, status reports, and basic dashboards to support continuous KM improvements.
  • Support records management and compliance with program information governance policies.
