We are seeking an innovative and collaborative professional to drive knowledge management (KM) excellence and AI-enabled solutions within the Engineering function. This role will champion the integration of advanced AI tools for engineering use cases and foster a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will partner with IT, AI, and technical leaders to deliver impactful KM initiatives.

Requirements

  • Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Management, or related field.
  • Extensive experience in knowledge management, engineering, or digital transformation roles.
  • Strong technical background with experience in engineering and design environments.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience with benchmarking, best practices, and Lean methodologies.
  • Passion for people development and fostering a collaborative culture.
  • Proven experience meeting with technical teams to create business requirements and drive projects successfully to completion.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated experience leading KM programs and AI/digital initiatives.
  • Experience with AI/machine learning applications in KM.
  • Master’s degree in engineering, Information Management, or related field.
  • Certification in knowledge management or related fields.

Responsibilities

  • KM Program Lead & Community Engagement Promote KM best practices and actively engage with technology leaders (Chief Engineers, Fellows, etc.) to drive design guide excellence and knowledge-in-the-flow. Support and coordinate with Technical Information Center (TIC) leader and staff to ensure robust tools and processes for authoring, organizing, and consuming knowledge. Covers all KM portfolio areas: Book of Knowledge (BoK) program, design guides, Technical Communities of Practice (TCoP), Product Development Search, and KM consulting.
  • AI Integration Drive delivery of Agentic AI Projects in cooperation with IT and AI teams, such as piloting and scaling AI-enabled lookup assistants for engineering specs and standards. Collaborate with AI and engineering teams to define requirements, pilot MVPs, and ensure successful adoption of AI tools that consolidate and contextualize internal technical knowledge for delivery in the flow of engineers’ work. Benchmark and promote best practices in AI-driven KM, leveraging authoritative internal data sources.
  • Training, Development & Knowledge Capture Develop and deliver training materials for KM processes and AI tool adoption. Lead efforts to capture and document critical knowledge, ensuring effective transfer and retention within the organization. Conduct knowledge capture interviews and develop knowledge capture designs.
  • Technical Support & Process Improvement Provide critical support to technical communities of practice, facilitating successful team engagements and reinforcing program health and maturity. Develop strategies to integrate knowledge archives with in-process engineering and design decision-making. Drive process improvements using Lean methodologies and data-driven insights.
